Our dedicated faculty specializes in providing frequent and personally tailored instruction to every student in the classroom. This meticulous approach not only refines a dancer’s technique but also instills an appreciation for the artistry and precision required in a classical variation. Corrections are personalized, allowing students to overcome unique challenges and unlock their potential. Teachers invest time in understanding each student’s journey, offering guidance that extends to developing a winning mindset that fosters determination and adaptability, preparing students for the realities of the industry, and instilling confidence in their future careers.
The ICSB Classical Variations Intensive is open to students ages 11 to 20 and is a comprehensive program for intermediate to advanced-level students. Acceptance into the program is via audition only. Levels within the intensive will depend on a combination of age and experience. Level placement is at the discretion of the directors.
AUDITION Process
Students interested in applying for ICSB’s Classical Variations Intensive program may complete the Classical Variations Intensive Application E-Form. All applicants will be asked to submit a video sample of a Classical Variation performance or rehearsal footage via a Youtube/Vimeo/DropBox or Google Drive link that will accurately showcase the applicant’s present technical capabilities. Please have your video link ready to complete the Application E-Form (see below). Please ensure your video's privacy settings allow us to view it - use settings such as "public" or "unlisted."
Accepted students will receive an acceptance letter via the primary email address in your completed Registration E-Form. Your acceptance letter will contain initial enrollment information, including fees and payment deadlines. Once received, accepted students should confirm attendance within two weeks of acceptance and will be required to submit the necessary documents.
We strongly recommend that students interested in being considered for the Year-Round program attend our summer sessions at ICSB. The summer sessions can accurately assess a student’s fit for the Year-Round program and ultimately be considered an integral part of the faculty’s evaluation. Invitations to the Academic Year program are on an individual basis.
